Providing assessment, treatment and monitoring in conjunction with personal care and attention for ill children while parents are at work

In the blink of an eye the one-year anniversary of Chicken Soup + Nursing has arrived.  We wish to thank the community for their support and encouragement during the past twelve months.  We are extremely grateful to each parent who entrusted us with a sick child.

This “test facility” has enabled us to promote a new type of health clinic capable
of supporting schools and daycares by reducing the number of ill children in
group settings.  The clinic has also been utilized by employers to reduce parent absences related to a sick child.

It is with a great deal of anguish that we announce the closure of the Tri-Cities facility.  During the past year Washington State has been unable to determine which agency should be responsible for regulating this new facility type, hence
our one year wavier to operate will not be extended.

All of us at Chicken Soup + Nursing believe this service is needed in every community.  We have decided to continue our work with several states in
order to establish this clinical setting as an option for working parents with
sick children.  If you or someone you know is interested in helping us to
navigate this idea all the way to completion, please contact us through the
website.

Thank you all!
